All monthly meetings will include:

One of our experienced members will be available to show new members how to bench their roses. As soon as you arrive, please let us know you would like help. As our meetings start at 8.00pm, the roses need to be on the benches before this time. Please bring along your best roses from your garden, at 7.20pm, they don’t have to be perfect. This is the best way to learn what you need to do to prepare them for judging.

We have a Novice Section and each time you bench your roses, you will learn more. Preparing your roses for benching at monthly meetings will give you experience and confidence to participate in our next Rose Show. You are encouraged to participate because the more blooms there are on the benches, the more spectacular the display will be.

There will be a table for “unknown” roses. Bring along your mystery rose.

Laminating Machine is available for those who need to laminate their Rose Labels for the Rose Show—cost is $0.35 per page.

Door prize - a rose bush donated by Swiss Rose Nursery.

Please bring a plate of food to share for Supper to finish off the evening.

The Rose Society of WA will have a stand there to promote our club. We are looking for volunteers from the society to help out for a couple of hours on that weekend.

Guildford Heritage Festival 2017 will be held at Stirling Square, corner of Meadow and Stirling st Guildford.
The Rose Society of WA will have a stand there to promote the upcoming Autumn Rose Show to be held at the Guildford Town hall.

We will be addressing any questions people have with regard to preparing roses for the upcoming Autumn show. There will also be demonstrations on how to present your blooms on the benches. If you want to learn how to get started with showing your roses come along and bring your roses and questions.

Our Speaker for tonight will be Faye Acaro From "Lets Talk Gardens", who will talk on bugs found in our gardens.
The South Perth Council have advised that they need the hall on Tuesday evening for an urgent elector's meeting to resolve some issues they are having with regard to building approvals. Their council offices are not large enough to accommodate the 500 expected attendees so they have apologised.
We have the hall on Wednesday evening 21st June - at 7.00 pm for an 8.00 pm meeting start. Faye Acaro, our guest speaker is also able to come that night.
Please note there is no General meeting in July.
Throughout July we will be conducting a number of Rose pruning demonstrations at locations, see below.
