DISEASES

Powdery Mildew
Infected plants display white powdery spots on the leaves and stems. The lower leaves are the most affected, but the mildew can appear on any above-ground part of the plant and cause some distortion of the leaves.
Starts appearing with warm days and cool nights.
Use Triforine, Mancozeb Plus, or mix 3 level teaspoons Bicarb Soda to 1 litre of water and add a few drops of Fish Emulsion.
Black Spot
Disease symptoms are black blotches on the leaf surface. Leaves must be wet at least 7 hours for infection to occur and so timing your watering is important to minimise the fungus. It is better to water in the morning so that the leaves can dry out during the day.
Pick the leaves off then apply a suitable Fungicide like Rose Shield, Triforine or Mancozeb Plus.
Rust
Rusty pustules or powder can appear on the underside of the leaves. As the infection worsens, the color can appear on the upper surface of the leaves as well. If left unchecked the leaves are killed and will wilt and then fall off.
Pick the leaves off then apply a suitable Fungicide like Rose Shield, Triforine or Mancozeb Plus.
